The Stockport Garrick Short Film Festival (SGSFF) invites filmmakers and film enthusiasts alike to enjoy a showcase of short films created by local creatives. Open to everyone, this event is more than just a screening—it's an opportunity to connect, network, and learn from others in the heart of Stockport.
Named Greater Manchester's 'Town of Culture' in 2023, Stockport is a vibrant hub of creativity, and this festival highlights the incredible talent our town has to offer. Held at the historic Stockport Garrick Theatre, the oldest Little Theatre in the country, SGSFF provides a unique space to discover fresh stories, support local artists, and immerse yourself in a thriving creative community.
Whether you're a filmmaker, film enthusiast, or simply curious, don’t miss your chance to be among the first to experience new and inspiring short films while connecting with like-minded people.
During the weekend we have catering on-site selling food, cakes, hot drinks and our bar serving cold drinks.

From March 2025, the Greek Street roundabout will be closed to traffic for one year. Diversion routes will be in place and may cause delays on roads leading to the Theatre.
There will also be rail closures are throughout 2025 so please check before your travel.
